The role's primary objective is to support the branch manager in managing the sales team to meet team sales targets by capitalizing on new business, acquisition, and referral opportunities, as well as strengthening existing customer relationships across various segments. This includes ensuring service standards are met while maintaining a strong sales process and adhering to local regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and guide junior relationship managers
- Lead the sales team to consistently meet and exceed sales targets for assigned banking products across different customer segments.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to develop effective sales strategies and action plans.
- Implement lead generation initiatives and ensure the sales team effectively converts leads into profitable customers.
- Create a positive and supportive sales culture by recognizing achievements, providing ongoing motivation, and facilitating individual development plans.
Requirements
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in Premier banking
- Technical knowledge and expertise in consumer banking products (i.e. Treasury, Equities, Funds, Insurance etc)
- Excellent communication, coaching, and team building skills to motivate and manage a sales team effectively.
- Prior experience in management or mentoring would be an advantage.
