Financial Planning Analyst for Technology (Large Conglomerate), Singapore

Large local conglomerate is looking for a financial analyst with a solid experience working with the IT industry or has been involved heavily in the financial analysis of a large IT department in Singapore.

1) Budget Planning & Management:

• Support the annual budget planning process by preparing comprehensive IT Financial Reports and collaborating with key stakeholders across departments.
• Assist in the development and alignment of the IT Budget to organisational objectives, ensuring financial goals are met and resources are allocated efficiently.

2) Financial Analysis & Reporting:

• Monitor and track IT projects budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis of IT spending across the organisation, identifying trends and cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare regular management reports to provide visibility into IT costs and performance, recommending improvements as necessary.

3) Collaboration with Stakeholders:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand IT needs, ensure alignment between financial and operational goals, and manage budget utilisation across departments.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations on improving the IT cost structure, helping to optimise financial efficiency.

4) Cost Optimisation & Process Improvement:

• Review existing financial templates and processes, suggesting updates and improvements to better reflect the evolving needs of the IT function.
• Continuously assess the effectiveness of IT financial management processes, proposing strategic solutions to enhance budgeting and resource allocation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Master's or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) advantageous.
• 4+ years of experience in financial management, budget planning, and financial analysis, ideally in the Technology or IT sectors.
• Solid experience in annual budget planning, preparing management reports, and collaborating with stakeholders to draft budgets based on data insights.
• Experience in IT planning, including demand management, resource planning, and financial management for IT projects.
• Strong analytical skillset
