My Client a Global Hedge Fund looking to hire experienced Sit Reliability Engineers to join their team. In this role you will be tasked with combining your software and systems engineering expertise to build and operate the systems that power the businesses investment strategies at the speed and scale required in fast-evolving markets.

In this team you will have the opportunity to partner closely with investment teams and enterprise functional teams to develop deep understanding of how applications work and to promote the SRE mindset, helping to build applications for stability and resiliency from their first stages.

Your Role

  • Responsible for reducing complexity and improving performance in providing support for applications in development and ensuring crisp functioning of applications in production.
  • Investigate new ways to improve operations and define new solutions to solve technically complex systems issues.
  • Understand the end-to-end flow across applications at a business level to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of applications in production.

Essential Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of Python with strong experience in a Linux production environment
  • Experience in High Frequency Trading, Quantitative Finance or low latency environment is preferred
  • Strong background in computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, distributed systems.
  • Comfortable with a range of current software development tools and practices (testing, source control, build systems, CI/CD, etc.)
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline, or equivalent experience
