Join our client's dynamic team as an SDLC & Runtime - GitLab Software Engineer, where you'll be at the forefront of delivering mission-critical tooling across the entire software development lifecycle across every business unit in the group! You'll play a key new role in ensuring the code written by thousands of engineers is securely versioned, expertly reviewed, and efficiently distributed.
As a crucial member of the SDLC team, you'll:
- Design, implement, and execute next-generation CI/CD instances, prioritizing security and exceeding industry standards.
- Develop and enhance CI/CD solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to meet engineering platform requirements.
- Advocate for improvements in product quality, security, and performance.
- Diagnose and solve technical issues within the GitLab environment and broader SDLC ecosystem.
- Gather, analyze, and report metrics to drive reliability engineering and operational resiliency.
- Partner with and provide technical guidance to internal engineers on best practices.
What you'll bring to the table:
- A technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with expertise in Git and Cloud deployment patterns (especially AWS and Terraform).
- Strong object oriented programming skills in languages such as Golang, Java, Python, or C/C++.
- Proficiency in running key applications on Linux and knowledge of networking protocols and topology.
- Experience with all stages of the software development lifecycle and debugging distributed systems.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of requirements and deliver value.
